It's Summer! I can't say that enough. One of my new favorite foods would have to be frozen yogurt, thanks to the convenience of Limeberry. The next best thing to fro-yo is ice cream, especially in the form of a sandwich. Here are some desserts that are not only delicious but yummy to the eyes too :)

What a Majestic Creature...
Happy Fourth of July!
Happy 4th everyone! Today was absolutely gorgeous...my family and I went on a hike at Opal Creek past North Fork. It was about a 6 mile hike thorough beautiful Oregon forests.
Maura, Morgan, Alli and I got cheesy/cheap flag shirts and decided to pose on Alli's Dad's Mustang outside of Limeberry. The Creekside fireworks were amazing!
My mission: Find 4th of July decor that isn't tacky. This was tough, but with some help of my favorite blogs I think I pulled it off. Enjoy, and Happy 4th! We are so blessed to live in a country where we are free to practice the religion we choose...take advantage of that this year!

Cake Batter Blondies
Ohhh my goodness...I was with Maura today and she stumbled upon an awesome recipe for cake batter blondies so I HAD to try it out. Here is my journey :)
PREHEAT oven to 350 degrees.
MIX all ingredients in a bowl. The batter should be pretty dense, like...brownie batter!
POUR into a lined and greased 8x8 or 8x12 pan.
BAKE for 30-40 minutes depending on the size of the pan.
They should be light/golden brown on top and still gooey on the inside.
These simple/fast/easy/wonderful/delicious bars are not only all of the above but also SUPER cheap! We already had like 10 bags of white chocolate chips laying around from when I went cookie crazy last winter and almost everything else can be found in your pantry! (Except for maybe the funfetti cake mix...after this recipe it's going to be a staple in my pantry FOR SURE!)

Country Cute
Today was one of those bipolar Salem days...cloudy and gloomy in the morning then sunny and hot in the afternoon. I'm just looking forward to a week of no clouds in the forecast! Praise God for Summer finally rolling around to the Northwest. I decided to start gawking at some dwellings and realized I was in love with the country-cottage style of homes. I love how it can be a combination of vintage chic and modern technology with natural elements thrown in to give it that country feel. I hope you enjoy my favorites below!

God is Good.
It's good to be back! I just spent the most amazing week in Nampa, Idaho at NNU for the NW Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp. I got to lead a huddle (small-group) of 12 amazing girls who are going into their freshman year and also play volleyball. The fellowship with the other huddle leaders was unbelievable and I have so many new brothers and sisters in Christ. This trip literally changed my life and I can't wait to continue my walk with God! It was such a whirlwind..the first 2 days were spent training and getting to know each other with just the huddle leaders, all 36 of us. Praise the Lord for bringing 373 kids to this camp! It was so cool to see the change from day 1 to day 7 when we all had to leave each other. We went from complete strangers to best friends in a little less than a week...this is just a testament to God's amazing work. We all spent 5 days with our huddles, going to worship, chapel, speed agility and quickness sessions and sports sessions. I loved getting a chance to help coach the 70 volleyball players that were there...it was so much fun! I'm already looking forward to next year to see what else God has in store for this life changing camp.

| Best Friends Anyone Could Ask For |
WELL. Like I said, it's good to be back :) My friend and teammate Lindsey is the inspiration behind this next post. In her blog, she details how she made the $8 version of a $68 American Apparel Pouch. This made me realize that I should totally try and start sewing! I don't have the time to make it a serious hobby or anything, but I'd like to at least be able to make a few little projects. Tomorrow I'm picking up my Nana Rose's sewing machine that she owned before she passed away last month. I'm hoping to make the easiest dress possible thanks to some help from Google and the pictures below. Wish me luck!
