No Sleep

Last post until next Friday...I don't know how I'll survive! One thing that I've been missing lately is sleep. This is 100% my own fault and I pay the price every morning when I roll out of bed at 10:30 feeling like I wasted some major QT already. But that's besides the point, beds are the real focus here. When I switched rooms with my sister this time last year (she just HAD to have the bigger room since I was going to college) I downgraded from a double to a twin bed. All year at school, I've been sleeping on a twin bed as well. Finally I got a big girl bed! It's a wonderful queen with not so wonderful bedding. Picture your grandma's latest quilt mixed with garden themed scrapbook paper. Not hot. This massive bed literally takes up almost half of my tiny room. I'm desperate for something new, but for now I'll survive by dreaming of these beautiful bedrooms :)

Time Telling 101

TGIF! I'm sooo excited that it's Friday! (#wesoexcited) It means that tomorrow is the day that I get to go to Idaho for a week and coach at an FCA camp. It's an all sports camp with breakouts into specific sports sessions during the day. I love coaching and I'm so stoked to be in sunny Nampa (basically Boise)...it's supposed to be around 80-90 degrees allll week long.

One thing that I've paying attention to lately is watches. For more than a year I've been obsessed with getting a Michael Kors white watch similar to the pictures below. Last summer at the Nordstrom half yearly sale I picked up this gem for $12 at BP! Such a steal. I'm wearing it right now and I'm still in love with it. I'm pretty positive they don't sell it anymore, but this just goes to show that being stingy can pay off sometimes :)

Similar (sort of) Michael Kors for $250:

This is my dream watch, if I had $495 laying around:

Check this one out...while still spendy at $135 (on sale for now), this price is a bit more manageable for a watch that is strikingly similar in either white/rose gold or white/white.

As far as other watches go, I love these by TOYWATCH. There are 6 different colors of the aluminum style. This black one could go perfectly with almost any outfit.

I bought this watch (white) over a year ago and have mixed feelings about it. I was looking for a nice white watch and this was affordable ($60) and a good brand, Nixon. Colors from clothes or other jewelry bled onto it really easily because it has a white polyurethane strap, which is sort of a rubberized plastic. Online, it looked like the hands were really visible despite being all white but when I got it I realized how tricky it was to actually tell time on it. I still think it's great especially with sportier clothes (literally shorts and a t-shirt) while still wearable with a nicer outfit. Next time I would get a color that doesn't show stains as much.

Workout Wednesday

Hello and happy Wednesday! Yesterday was soo so beautiful and sunny and today we get clouds and overcast. No bueno. I wouldn't say that I love to work out, but I do like it. This past year I was introduced to the joys of Lululemon, an clothing store that has athletic apparel but more specifically, yoga clothes. I just haven't been able to bring myself to spend almost $100 on a pair of yoga pants....so for now I'll stick with my Nike addiction. I love finding my favorite shorts (Tempos) on sale and every time I do I HAVE to get them. Like I said, it's an addiction. Here are some of my favorite athletic clothes that I either own or wish I did...enjoy and happy workout!

I am in LOVE with this jacket. I got it at the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale and it is perfect! The wish the torso were a little longer, but that's what I get for being 6'3"! If the thumb holes aren't being used the sleeves fit weird and the pockets aren't very accessible, but other than that I love it!

My love, my favorite. These shorts are perfect. I have no complaints about them! I'm pretty sure I have at least 8-9 pairs in various colors. They're the only running/work out shorts that I own other than spandex!

Coral is one of my favorite colors and you can never go wrong with Victoria's Secret.

I have these pants in all black and I really like them. They're super long which is an added bonus! I think almost everyone on my volleyball team has some variation of these, they're perfect for travel and just hanging out! Next pair: coral band.

Eating is Fun

Happy first day of Summer! (again...) Happy Tuesday works also! I was sitting at Starbucks (like usual) with Maura, trying to come up with some new things  to muse over in my own little world. I was looking over my favorite blogs and I noticed that I was drawn to/tempted by the desserts...in an artistic/indie/bloggy way of course. My first stop was Eat Drink Chic, the best place for everything cute and yummy. Here are my findings from that site as well as Tatertots and Jello and a few others. The links back to the original blogs should give recipes and direct sources. I hope you love this adorable collection of sweets as much as I did!

I have a TON more I could add...but I think I'll save those for another day :) I hope your Tuesday comes to an AMAZING end...and once again, Happpy Summer!

Wedding Bells!

Happy first day of Summer! It's supposed to be over 80 degrees in Salem today, finally! I think we're all ready for a solid stint of sun. Spring has come to a close which cues up wedding season. I feel like I know so many people who are either newly married, getting married this Summer, or just thinking about marriage. I'm not a wedding regular but I've seen my fair share of engagement and wedding pictures. I'm so inspired by them and even though I'm not looking to get married anytime soon, it's never too early to get some ideas :)

My friend Alli said she loved these colors and I couldn't agree more! I love the fun combination of baby blue and bright red. This is perfect for a Summer outdoor wedding!

This nautical theme incorporates similar colors yet has a vintage and homemade twist. The possibilities for decor are endless!

This white color scheme is so fresh for Summer, I love it!
