Inspiration: Dad.

Hello and welcome to Seattle! First post from the city of clouds and coffee! I'll be here coaching and starting the pre season of volleyball before school starts at the end of September. This will be a long (but way too fast) two months filled with TONS of volleyball and my favorite teammates. A trip to Hawaii will also be something to look forward to in the coming weeks :) My dad dropped me off (yes, I'm without a car. But who needs one when Starbucks is within walking distance?) and we had some very pleasant conversations. One topic was our garage and the status of his nonexistent shop. While both of my parent's SUVs can still fit, there's still a lot of room for a makeover. I think it's time for him to get a shop outback so he has more workspace than the floor of our cramped garage.

While the shops and flipped garages might not be what he had in mind, I definitely wouldn't hate it if he decided to use this as HIS inspiration and create a little craft room/apartment/kitten room for me :)

Garage Number 1. Yes, this was at one point a tiny (pink) detached garage. [via]

Starbucks!

As almost everyone who knows me knows about my obsession with Starbucks. I'm a proud gold card member and I cannot get enough iced coffee with soy, cinnamon dolce and white chocolate. It's either that or a strawberry black tea. They also have a TON of delicious treats in their shiny display cases. My favorite so far has been the salted caramel square. Here's a tribute to their greatness through a compilation of recipes that make me want to have a cup of coffee on the side :)

Cute Clean Up

Hello world and happy FRIDAY! Interesting medical news of the day: I need surgery on my nose : / NOT a nose job, but I've got random stuff going on that needs to be fixed so that will be first on my list of things to do when I get home in December for break. I'm also getting ready to leave for Seattle! Sort of...by getting ready I mean moving around piles of stuff that I need to pack. I'm giving myself one whole day (tomorrow) to get all of my stuff together and ready to go. That doesn't give me very much time to buy anything that I might need for school or my apartment so I've been trying to figure out the best last minute organizational techniques Whether or not any of that made sense, here are some awesome/adorable ways to de-clutter and organize any area. Enjoy!

Layered Love

Last week my sister got me a watch for my birthday! It's a simple silver watch from BP, similar to this Michael Kors. I'm posting a picture ASAP of my watch with some bangles I had laying around at home. My friend Alli let me have some of her bracelets that she doesn't wear anymore so I get to add some more layer to the look! I'm obsessed with great watches, and I think I'm living proof that you don't have to spend a fortune to have a good looking wrist. Maybe I think too highly of my cheap finds, but oh well :) I was inspired to add on the layers during a full on stalk of my blog crush, Atlantic-Pacific. She ends the internal debate over choosing between a watch OR a bracelet with a beautiful combination of both. Here's a compilation of my favorite looks, let me know what you think and have a happy Thursday!
